FUTURE SEMINARS

Consciousness, Synchronicity and the Law of Attraction

Gibliston Mill, Fife, Saturday 26th March 2011, Cowdray Hall, Friday 6th May 2011 and Heythrop College, London, Saturday 7th May 2011

What the mind can conceive, and bring itself to believe, the mind can achieve - Napoleon Hill

Telepathy and other forms of ESP suggest that the modern scientific understanding of consciousness – based on the assumption that the brain produces consciousness -  is radically incomplete. Beginning with a survey of the New Thought movement going back as far as Ralph Waldo Emerson and William James, we will explore how our minds are both interconnected and interactive and the way in which we are all in fact embedded in and can act on the Universal Mind or Cosmic Consciousness. You will learn:

  • The relationship between your conscious mind, your subconscious and the Universal Mind

  • The significance of experiences of Cosmic Consciousness

  • How we act on the Universal Mind by directing emotionally charged creative thought and maintaining the optimistic attitude

  • The meaning and significance of synchronicity and the mechanics of the law of attraction

  • Keys to transforming your habitual neural pathways and the role of affirmations

  • The power of goals, definite purpose, faith and belief

  • How to modify your self-image and self-concept, enhancing your self-belief and capacity for success

The Key Principles of Success and How to Apply Them

Gibliston Mill, Fife, Sunday 27th March

Heythrop College, London, Sunday 9th January, Sunday 8th May 2011

Success is the progressive realisation of a worthy ideal – Earl Nightingale

A hundred years ago, Andrew Carnegie – then the richest man in the world - set a young journalist, Napoleon Hill, the task of interviewing the most successful leaders of his time, to whom he provided personal introductions. Twenty years later Hill published his results – The Laws of Success in Sixteen Lessons – on which most subsequent work in this field has been based. This seminar will explore these laws and how best to apply them practically to the different areas of our lives. You will learn:

  • How to set goals in different areas of your life

  • The key role of creative thought in consciously shaping your future - how changing your thinking will change your life

  • How to develop the habits of success

  • The pivotal role of self-discipline and self-belief

  • The importance of going the extra mile - giving before you receive

  • How best to organise your time

Follow-up Coaching Programme

Following attendance at a seminar, you will have the opportunity to register for a six-month coaching programme in order to maintain the momentum initiated by the seminar.

Knowing We Will Die, How Should We Live?

David Lorimer with Dr. Peter Fenwick, Heythrop College, London, Sunday 5th December 2010

Research into death and near-death experiences over the last 40 years has transformed our understanding of death and hence of the meaning of life. Death now looks like a transition to a new form of life, a journey to elsewhere, rather than the extinction of consciousness. Yet few of us give much thought to preparing for our ultimate journey. This day will provide an expert survey of the field and draw out the practical implications for how best to live our lives. You will learn:

  • A new understanding of the death and dying process

  • How the life review demonstrates the basis of the Golden Rule

  • The key values inherent in the NDE

  • How to connect with your deeper life purpose

  • What is needed for a good death?

  • How we change if we remember we will die

Dr. Peter Fenwick is Emeritus Consultant Neuropsychiatrist, Maudsley Hospital and Honorary Consultant Neurophysiologist, St. Thomas’s Hospital. He is a President of the Scientific and Medical Network and President of the Horizon Research Foundation. He is the author of many books and papers on death and dying, most recently The Art of Dying.

Living in Harmony with Nature

A day with David and Jane Lorimer

Gibliston Mill, Sunday 13th June, 10.00 for 10.30 – 4.30

Many people now realise that we need a new relationship with Nature, one based on balance and harmony rather than exploitation and control. Science, psychology, ecology, economics and our worldwide communications systems point to the reality of our interconnectedness and interdependence, but we have yet to absorb the implications in terms of how we relate to each other and the planet. Living in Harmony with Nature celebrates ways in which we can reconnect with Nature, enhancing our health and well-being in the process.

David will begin with a brief diagnosis of how we have reached our current situation, and why we need a new world-view. David will then introduce the living philosophy behind the Bulgarian sage Peter Deunov’s Paneurhythmy (meaning ‘universal harmony of movement’), and we will learn and dance the first ten movements as a practical realisation of living in harmony.

Jane will then trace trends over the last century showing how our health in the West has declined as our food has become more refined and processed. She will then demonstrate some quick, easy recipes using fresh, local produce and we will make and eat lunch together.

After lunch, David will explain some connections between holistic science, organic agriculture and integrated medicine, showing how they share a common philosophy of harmony. We will then continue our study and practice of Paneurhythmy and Jane will share her principles for real quality of life. The day will round off with a farewell set of exercises and a general discussion.

David Lorimer is author and editor of over a dozen books, including Radical Prince: the practical vision of the Prince of Wales, Prophet for our Times: the life and teaching of Peter Deunov, and The Circle of Sacred Dance: Peter Deunov’s Paneurhythmy. He has practised and taught Paneurhythmy since 1989.

Jane Lorimer has been a McTimoney chiropractor for 21 years.  She set up the first integrated health clinic in the City of London in 1990 and published The Practical Guide to Candida in 1995 and 1997 which has sold 14,000 copies.  Since moving to Scotland and having their two children, Jane has also been teaching healthy cooking and food as medicine.

Cost: £35, including lunch (couples £50). Please make cheques out to Jane Lorimer.
